What a great weekend! :). Newt is back to feeling 100% and has a spring in his step! We went over to Charity's and swam! Below is Camo...

Tired Puppy!

Newton has decided that my chaise lounge on my couch is perfect just for him! :) He's so tired... too much playing!

Newton's having a fun time... playing outside, swimming, taking car rides, playing with friends (human, doggies, and kitties), taking long walks, and just getting spoiled lots and lots! But, he can't wait to see him Mom and Dad! :)

Dallas Dog Park!

This weekend we found the most fabulous dog park in Dallas! And... it's only about 10 minutes from home! It's on White Rock Lake... there's a fabulous fenced in area for big dogs, another for little dogs, and an old boat ramp for the puppies to go in the water! We had a great time. My friend, Marcia, took us there on Saturday, and we had to go back today!

Newton wasn't SUPER wild about going out further than he could reach, but he had a super fun time!


Yeah... Newton's NOT the one humping the other dog ;)... he has manners!

Newt and I felt like we were in luxury at Dave and Kim's! They've upgraded the whole family room... it's pretty fantastic!



Will went with me (in your car, Jake) to pick up Newton from the house... we stopped at Chick-Fil-A and got a shake for Will (not Newt). :) Newton did so great! I gave Will a Pup-peroni, and Newt did all his tricks for him while waiting in line! I think Will really liked it when I let him hold the leash from the car to the house... you know, with the dog that weighs more than him!

While Newton and I were out playing, Trousers came out. (He's HUGE!!!). So, we lifted him (Trouser's daddy and I) over the fence so they could play. They're cute :)

We need to finish our trip to Austin! Sorry, it's been a SUPER crazy, busy week... so this is a little delayed! We spent a fun time playing at Gordon and Chasity's house with their cute dog, Nero. He's a mix between Border Collie and Lab.... they had fun :)

Cutie Pie! Newt and I spent much of our weekend over at Dave and Kim's... Newton QUICKLY learned how staying close to the baby can provide some yummy snacks! :) It's amazing how quickly dogs realize that!

Austin Bound

When we got in to Austin, we first stopped at Dave and Kim's. We got to see their new furniture and MOUNTED TV! So exciting! Kim and I took Newt for his evening walk around the neighborhood. Punky got in a couple of good swings when Newt got too close! (You'd think he would have this figured out by now, but with his smelling by touching, it doesn't always work out!).

I thought Newton was going to come out of his skin when we pulled in his driveway tonight. He was grinning, thumping his tail and trying to pace around in the back seat of my car. He bounded out and couldn't seem to get inside fast enough! Good news, Jake and Anne... house is still here! :).

So, we came inside... and he bounded around some more. We went in the backyard and had to sniff EVERYTHING and bark at the trees swaying in the wind, and kick our feet out throwing dirt all over and running around. haha! We were out there for like 30 minutes.

I believe Newton is in his happy place in the picture below. As I am typing this, he is stretched out the entire length of the couch.


Home! (for the weekend)


We do have a fun-filled weekend planned! Tomorrow is Cole's birthday party, so we'll get to go over and play for awhile. And Sunday, Newt has a play date with Chasity and Gordon's new dog! Should be fun, we'll keep you updated!

Busy, hot times!

Newt and I had a super busy week! Lots of work (on my part, he slept and went to daycare), walks, eating, drinking, and itching for a chance to play with a kitty. We also had a sleepover at my friend, Christine's. Christine and Newton became FAST friends... possibly because she gave him a doggy massage, ha! We had a great time, watched a movie, drank some wine and chilled with the pooch! :)


See how rough he has it? (And notice his stinky chicken treat... I really have to wonder what they put in that to make it smell so terrible)


Newton has learned the kitchen is the place to be: the kitties run and jump on the counters, the cat treats are here, the wet dog food, and of course, the human food!


My bed is commonly known as "base". Newton lays on my bed anytime he's unsure of a situation, or if I'm in the bathroom, or if he's just gotten hit by a kitty. He lays there and when he sees me he starts wagging his tail like mad, and jumps around all excited, haha!


Here's the queen... in her favorite spot... on the counter she's not supposed to be on, probably thinking about either trying to steal some food from Newton, climb in a cabinet, shred my paper towels, or teach Rowdy a new trick. Jake and Anne... she'll be waiting for you at your house when you get home!

Fourth of July Weekend

Newton had a great weekend! His Grandma, Kathy, and other favorite Aunt, Julie, came for a visit! We went for walks, played together, and for the 4th of July, went over to Uncle Larry's and hung out with Larry and Gerry! What fun!

It's a rough life for a dog, that's for sure! He's keeping busy... between morning walks, snoozing on the couch with me, chasing kitties, playing with his friend, Jessie, and hanging with Julie and Kathy...it's tough (as you can see).
