While Jake and Anne are globe-trotting... Newton is hanging out with me, his favorite Aunt, and his cousins, Rowdy and Emma! He began his vacation by staying at the Spa (Doggie Daycare) for a week till I was able to come and get him. After picking him up and trekking back to Dallas, he spent his first week catching up on sleep, eating, and going for morning and evening walks. He thought it would be a great idea to chase the kitties, until he got smacked by both. He then decided it's best to leave them alone! He doesn't even lift his head when one walks in the room. (Keep in mind that a normal cat would choose to HIDE from him, but not my two... oh no: Emma wants to eat his food, and Rowdy wants to sleep on me!). Newton, being named after such a genius, has realized that he should just stay away and hang out with me :).
Today, Newton really got the party started! We went over to Amy's house: Newton spent the day jumping in and out of the pool, running around in the backyard, and finally, passing out on Amy's couch and watching chick flicks with the girls and Amy's Golden Retriever. Lucky, his new best friend, spent the day swimming and destroying his toys :). We had a great day! Right now my little nephew is passed out once again after coming home, eating some food, and chewing on a bone. It's a really tough life around here.
